Clinical Pilates Classes

Clinical Pilates is a personalised form of traditional Pilates practiced by Physiotherapists. The core focus of this form of Pilates is the rehabilitation and prevention of injuries by tailoring specific exercises following a detailed assessment by a Physiotherapist.

The individual exercise program targets problem areas and focuses on ensuring the best results while minimising the risk of injury. Our therapists use a combination of specialised Pilates equipment, including Pilates reformer beds and trapeze in conjunction with floor based exercises. The combination of exercise techniques allows for more effective targeting of muscle problem areas and for building resistance into the Pilates program.

Results include:

  • Improved posture and muscle tone
  • Greater flexibility and strength control
  • Improved balance
  • Treatment or prevention of injuries and spinal pain
  • Improved sporting performance
